    ATM Stop limit question

I'm trading the 30y bond futures using an ATM strategy with a 28 tick stop loss and 11 tick profit target. When the entry triggers (say long bonds), the loss limit order shows up fine... but the profit target stop-limit shows up as a (for example) 124'24 limit and a 124'04 Stop... the 124'04 is the actual price I want to get out at.

Why is there 20 ticks between these?

    I use Interactive Brokers.

    Thanks!

    Hello Jwkimball,

    Welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

ATM strategy stop loss order are submitted as StopLimit orders. The limit portion should be at a negative 20 offset from the stop price. This will turn the limit order "marketable" in all but the most extreme cases.

You can change this to submit stop market orders through the superdom properties. Right Click in the Dom > Properties > Set Use Stop Market for stop loss orders to true.
