Sell Short Bug on new Day

Why my Sell Short at 5859.5 just after the close is wrong ?
It should be Sell Short at 5925 ?

Hello,

NT uses the most conservative price to fill you backtests so your backtests are not over estimated. The price used in this case is the open of the next bar.

But the open price is arround 5915, not 5859 as it is displayed.

Hi SMuhr,

This is likely a result of how the limit order was entered. If the limit price was 5859.5, NinjaTrader will not fill you at a better price, during backtesting. Check your order entry to see how the price was set for that entry.

Use TraceOrders if necessary.

I dont use limit price. Just market price. Thats why I was surprised when i saw that

To clarify, are you using market orders...

EnterShort()

or a limit order at the market price?..

EnterShortLimit()

Can you please provide the entry line from your code, that you are using?
