    No historical data

    Hi,
    with a new NT 6.5 installation on a 64bit Windows 7 machine, no historical bars are shown on charts, no matter what instrument and time frame. If I click on "reload historical data", all bars are deleted and the charting starts over. I already did the DB repair, no effect
    What's wrong?

    Thank you for your forum post.

    What data feed connection are you using?

    Also, please confirm you have historical data enabled with the steps I have provided below.
    • Disconnect
    • Tools
    • Account Connections
    • Select your connection
    • Change
    • Next
    • Historical Data-->Enabled
    • Next
    • Next Finish
    • Reconnect

    If this is good please check the log tab in the control center for any errors and let me know what is listed here.

      The connection is ZenFire. Historical data was enabled, but I repeated your steps - no difference. No error messages in the log.

        Hello,

        Please try the below to see if this resolves the issue.

        This process will delete your saved ATM Strategies, Trade History and saved historical data.
        Can you please rename the NinjaTrader database. To rename the DB:
        • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
        • Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB.
        • Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select "Rename."
        • Name it "NewNinjaTrader.MDB."
        • Then restart the software.


        Let me know if this then allows you to reload historical data from the historical data server.

          Still doesn't work. I noticed that the date modified of both the renamed and the newly loaded mdb files are the same, 3/5/2010. That obviously means that the old, now renamed mdb file was never modified since I installed NT 6.5 on this machine, although I ran it with several instruments for a few hours.
          The futures I used were the ES, 6E,and TF, all the Sept. 10 contracts.
