    Stop Limit Buy/Sell order

Is there a way to have Stop Limit order @ specific price other than the Stop Price itself.

Example : I want to buy Stop when the price broke above 100.00, and buy limit is placed automatically 1 tick below, 99.99. Usually buy stop market when price broke above 100.00

    Hello MoreYummy,

    Thank you for your post.

Yes this can be done when submitting a Stop Limit Order. In this scenario when submitting your Buy Stop Limit Order please set your Stop Limit Offset to -1. With this order submitted at 100.00 with a -1 offset when triggered the order will be submitted 1 tick behind 100.00 at 99.99.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Submitting Orders in the SuperDOM.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

You may enable Chart Trader within your chart then move your cursor above the current trading price-->right mouse click-->Select Buy Stop Limit-->Set your offset to -1-->Click on the check box.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Submitting Orders in Chart Trader.

on the chart's stop limit confirmation, left click @ 100.00 and chose -1, it shows--- 100.00 x 99.99
So the trigger price is where I left click, and buy limit order is @ 99.99

Is it how i read the confirmation window?

Yes, if you are submitting the order at 100.00 with an offset of -1 this will actually submit the order at 99.99 when triggered.

Is there a way to add stop limit order button on DOM or someway to enter Stop Limit order on DOM other than middle mouse click?

it would be useful to have a way to customize the enter process.

                  Hi MoreYummy,

If you're using NinjaTrader 7, this is possible to assign as a hot key.

from the manual, it seems there is no hot key function for Stop Buy/Sell Limit.

                      MoreYummy,

In reviewing the Hot Key Manager function it appears the only shortcuts you have for order entry would be limit orders at the bid/ask and market orders.

Another thing to consider if configuring your mouse is to switch the middle mouse click with a right click and when you right click it will input stop limit orders. This however is a global setting and would affect other programs besides NinjaTrader.

I have forwarded to development your suggestion for ability to place quick stop limit orders with the Hot Key Manager.

                        ok, thx

I guess the new request will be on NT 7 only in future even they come out.

                          MoreYummy,

Yes, that is correct regarding the submission to development.

Unfortunately, the only method presently would be to use the mouse click order entry features that are presently included with NinjaTrader, and configuring your mouse as such.
