performance chart time range

using NT7 v14.
On the account performance tab, trades tab, i have a list of my trades. When I right click on a trade and choose chart, I get a 1 minute chart showing my trade with arrows and stuff. If my trade was made outside of regular hours, it just shows up on the last bar of regular trading time. How do I change it to a 24 hours chart? It worked fine in NT6.

Thank you for your post.

In order to bring up a chart showing the 24-hour period, you will want to select this setting from the “Session Template” field in the Data Series dialog (see screenshot).

You can access this dialog by going to File > New > Chart… or alternatively single left-clicking on the data series & then right-clicking to bring up the Data Series edit dialog.


You may also want to consider upgrading your version of NinjaTrader 7 to the latest Beta release; 7.0.0.17

Thanks for the quick response. After the chart is opened showing the trade, right clicking brings up a list of options, but Data Series is grayed out. If I change the chart to another template, the trade markers disappear. Going to file, new, chart, won;t show the markers either. Any other suggestions?

If possible, please provide a screenshot of the menu.

To send a screenshot:
1. Press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the window.
2. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint,
3. Press CRTL + V to paste the image.
4. Please make sure you save the file in jpeg format.
5. Send the file as an attachment.

Have you tried to access the Session template drop-down menu from the Data Series dialog (see previous screenshot)?

Here's a screenshot of what it looks like. The trade was executed at 9:05 Pm.
I can't access the session template because Data series is greyed out.

Please excuse the confusion - that the data series menu is unavailable in this performance chart can be expected.

Please take the following steps to enable the full 24 hours worth of data in this type of chart:

• From the Control Center, click Tools > Instrument Manager.
• In the Instrument Manager, select the instrument you are looking to edit from the list on the right, then press Edit. (in this case, 6E)
• In the Instrument Editor's definition tab, set the Session Template to 'Default 24/7', then click OK. Next, click OK to exit the Instrument Manager.
• Finally, create a new chart from the Account Performance menu.
