Connection Problem with TradeStation .ELD version

I just downloaded the trial version and followed the
instructions for connecting to TradeStation to be
able to so some SIM trading.

Upon attempting to Import the NINJATRADER.ELD
file into my TS 8.7 version, I get a version error and
    the attempt fails.

"This file was created with a different version of
TradeStation and it's not compatible with your
    current version.

    Current version: 8.07.00.385
    File created with version: 10.00.00.0008
File compatible with version: 10.00.00.0000 and later
    Time stamp: 4/12/2010 3:11:00 PM"

Please advise about downloading or getting .ELD and
    .ELS files that will work.

    Thanks!

    Hello ProfitProphet,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader support forum!

This error message will trigger when multiple versions of TradeStation are installed on the same PC.

To resolve the issue, please uninstall each version of TS that you currently have installed via the Windows Control Panel, then reinstall the most current version of TradeStation. After doing so, you should no longer encounter this error message.

      I don't think that's the issue because...

      Thanks Kyle,

I only have one version of TS installed, 8.7.

It's not the most recent version because an
indicator package that I must run is not working
      with 8.8 yet.

      Any other ideas?

        Hi ProfitProphet,

As a test, would it be possible to uninstall/reinstall TS 8.7? From looking through our historical cases related to this issue, the reinstallation should do the trick.

Tried as you suggested. No dice. Same error message.

            Hi ProfitProphet,

Can you clarify for me which version of the software you are running - 6.5 or 7?

              I'm running 6.5.

BTW, The .ELS file imports and verifies fine. The
.ELD is the one that's giving the error message.

                    Kyle,

I have restarted the machine and stopped all non-
essential processes so it is running as lean as it
                    can possibly run.

The problem is exactly the same. This does not
appear to me to be a file access issue.

It is a TS version creation issue that TradeStation
is reporting that prevents the .ELD file from being
loaded and verified by my version 8.7.

Why would TS report that the .ELD file was created
by version 10.00.00.0008? That makes no sense to
                    me.

Just installed Tradestation 8.7 and am having the same problem outlined below. Neither the 6.5 or 7 ELD files will import. Is there a resolution to this?

                        Thanks

I just tried the following procedure and still get the same problem.

                          1) Uninstall NinjaTrader 7
                          2) Uninstall NinjaTrader 6.5
                          3) Uninstall TradeStation 8.7
                          4) Reboot Computer
                          5) Install NinjaTrader 6.5
                          6) Reboot Computer
                          7) Install TradeStation 8.7

Also, I am running this on a 64-bit version of Vista.

                            Some more info:

I installed Tradestation 8.7 on a 32 bit Vista machine with both NT 6.5 and NT 7 installed.

I could not import the NinjaTrader.ELD from the NT 7 bin folder, but I was able to import it from the NT 6.5 bin folder.

                              Even more info:

I found that the NinjaTrader.ELD and ELS files on the 32 bit machine (dated 2/29/08 and 2/13/08) were different than the files installed on the 64 bit machine (dated 4/?/2010). I was able to import the files stored on the 32 bit machine into TradeStation on the 64 bit machine.
