Unable to Connect to IB

    I performed all the steps below and the issue still remains. I still get the popup with error message described in earlier posts.

      Unfortunately I am not sure how to proceed troubleshooting your issue other than testing the connection you utilize.

        I am not sure what you mean when you say "testing the connection you utilize".

        What does this error message acutally mean and what part of the software generates it:
        Login failed: IB.Adapter.MessageLoop No connection could be made
        because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:7496

        You may know the answer. If you do, please explain what it means.

          I am referring to the IB connection you use in NinjaTrader.

          It indicates TWS refused the connection request. Usually this indicates the TWS API options are not setup accordingly.

          Unfortunately I am not sure what is causing the error on your end. Perhaps check for firewall/anti-virus software that could be interfering the connection.

            I have turned off my antivirus software and Windows firewall, but still have the same issue.
