NT7 / ESignal source / IB Live Trading

Hello,

i´ve red the connection guide for the tws and to setup the connection for IB is the same way like setting up to the esignal data feed.

Now my question. My Plan is to use ESignal as my data feed provider but the executions of the trades should be directly send from NT7 to Interactive Brokers.
SO: ESIGNAL --{DATA FEED}--> NT7 -->{Orders}--> IB

How do i have to setup NT7, that i can make sure, that this works without problem ?

Thank you for your post.

NinjaTrader supports multiple simultaneous connections to different connectivity providers and in some cases, to the same connectivity provider allowing you to:

• Connect to and trade through multiple brokers simultaneously
• Connect to your broker and your data feed provider simultaneously

If you are establishing multiple connections that overlap in their provided market data services, the connection order you establish is critical. NinjaTrader will check for required market data services in the order your connections are established.

For example:
Connection1 - Provides real-time market and historical data
Connection2 - Provides only real-time market data

If you connect to Connection1 first and Connection2 second, when requesting market data NinjaTrader will request the data stream for both real-time and historical data from Connection1 even if you trade against Connection2. In this case you will want to connect to eSignal first & then connect to Interactive Brokers. You will want to test this configuration in simulation mode to make sure it performs the way you want it to before going Live.

thank you for your fast response. The connection worked verry well.
I´m connected first to esignal and then to IB. (with tws900)
So thanx for this.

One more question. Can i send "live orders" to the "simulated TWS account" or is this allready part of the Subscription of NT ?
I ask this, because it would be nice to see, if the orders arrive in the TWS in the same way as in the NT-Simulation.

If you are working with a Free/Simulation NinjaTrader license key you will only be able to place trades in the simulation account in NinjaTrader; SIM 101.

ok, then its time to sign up and to go live with NT7.

One additional question regarding live trading.
Is it better (faster/more stable) to only connect to IB when trading live (for usage of the intraday datafeed and order execution)
or is it better to connect to esginal first for the datafeed and to IB second for order executionl.

Ultimately this answer will be up to you. When using eSignal: You're giving up a little bit of system resources but gaining a redundant data feed as well as additional history. IB limits the amount of data 3rd parties can request in a given time but eSignal does not.
