Tick charts

I'm using 610 tick charts for forex and the charts are not updating correctly. i have other platforms to test it against so i'm sure they are not updating correctly. after i reload the charts then it loads correctly, but after sitting there again the candles do not form after 610 ticks. i've even tried 10 ticks just to see if it was just a problem with using 610 and they don't load after 10 ticks, only if i reload the charts then they load, but not in realtime. price does show correctly, just not the candles. i only have this problem using tick charts. the minute charts work fine. i'm using data from gain capital. is there a fix to this problem?

Thank you for your note.

Keep in mind that your results, especially on tick interval charts, can vary from data provider to data provider. (For more information: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...BuildChartBars)

NinjaTrader itself acts as a TV set, in that it take signals from the connected provider, then displays those signals back graphically.

What we can do hear is confirm that you and I both receive the same data from this source. On that note, please provide me with an image of your chart.

Please middle mouse click on the second to last bar in this picture and let me know what time stamp is reported in the mini-data box.

Likewise, please let me know what timezone you're using.

Can you please post a chart what exactly you would see formed in realtime so we could judge against what we see here?

Are you using the recommend pip setting for Gain under Tools > Options > Data set to 'PIP'? (For NT 6.5, this is found under Tools > Options > Misc).

Are you using NinjaTrader's servers for historical data in your account connection setup?

Which exact NinjaTrader version are you using (Help >> About)?

hi, i'm using version 6.5.1000.16. i am using ninja historical data and i have settings set to pip. i uploaded 2 charts. one is from what populated over night and the other one is from me reloading the charts to show what should already have been there right now.

Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with 'ATTN: Kyle' in the subject line.

In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.

2.) Your most current trace file and the trace file from the prior date.
You will find the trace file in the My Documents > NinjaTrader 6.5 > Trace folder.
Today's trace file would be named 'trace.20100707.txt'
