Won't import TradeStation Data

I followed the steps to "Import Historical Data From TradeStation" http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...tml?Overview39

However, when I goto NT and select "Tools > Historical Data > Import" no files are listed. It seems NT can't find the file.

Where is the file that TS created using the "NTDataDownload" strategy?

Thank you for your post.

The file that is created is stored in the My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->db-->import folder.

You can then import the file by going to Tools-->Historical Data-->Import and then navigate to that folder cited above.

I checked that folder with "Windows Explorer" as well as the NT browser and there is no file. When I inserted the strategy into TS, it took 10 seconds to process so I know it did something. But there is no file.

What is the file name?

The TS chart is a 1-min, 200 days back, @ES

Hi,

Depending on the instrument that you applied the strategy to it will be named as that instrument. As an example if you applied that strategy to the @ES symbol the file would be called @ES.txt.

Can you please let us know what version of TradeStation you are using.

I also tried with a chart using symbol "ESU10" and same problem... no file.

I searched and found the file created today called [email protected] that is 15.4MB. However, when I use NT to browse and import that file it says "There has been error on importing historical data. Please check the log."

The data in the file is correct but you will want to rename the file to ES 09-10.txt and then import from the historical data menu.

Success! I rename it and moved it to the "My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->db-->import folder" and it worked fine.
