    Hi xltcom,

    Thank you for your post.

To clarify, are you wanting to do this manually or automatically from an indicator/strategy?

        Hi xltcom,

With NinjaTrader 7, you can manually draw a line on a chart, then double click it and change the settings to establish a 45 deg. angle. The same basic calculation will be need if this is done using a script, when setting the end points.

              Sorry Tim

I know its an old post but if I now click on a line on NT7 it doesnt let me choose a 45 degree line.

Also, for PnF, is it possible to get the proper template to draw 45 degree line,?

              Regards

                Hello michael fantoni,

                Thanks for your reply.

There is no set scaling for the Y and X axis so there is currently no way to draw a 45 degree angle. Development is taking into consideration ways to do this in NinjaTrader 8

                    Hi Michael

A tool could be made to just draw a 45 or -45 degree line on P&F charts. Here you see one of my draw tools that has a P&F adjustment (on by default if a P&F chart is detected but able to be user disabled) so that it does show the correct angle.

That would be nice but r the x and y scaled on your chart?

Also, sorry if Im abusing with questions, is there a way to turn upside down a chart?

                      Regards

I'm not completely sure what you are asking here. Chart scaling means absolutely nothing when it comes to angles. Angle can only be calculated by trig using vertical units and horizontal units. As you can see in the picture, vertical and horizontal units are the same and therefore the angle must be 45 degrees. Isn't that what you were looking for?

                          Hello,

There is a custom indicator that allows you to Mirror the data.

                              New tool

Here is a new draw tool to draw a line at a Gann angle or angle in degrees, rising or falling. Select the angle if different from the default 1x1 (45 degrees), click toolbar button, click start point and second click above or below to determine the direction of the line. If Point & Figure adjust is true the line will automatically be the correct angle on that type chart. The tool will be available in a couple of days.
                              I hope this helps.
