    change time zone for charts

    I'm not finding an anwer readily in the UI or searching help.

    How does one change the time zone for the display of charts?

    Hello bilworld,

    Thank you for your post.

    Charts within NinjaTrader are based off of your local PC clock therefore in order to change your chart time to a new time zone you will be required to change your Local PC clock to the new time zone as well.

    To change your PC clock please close NinjaTrader-->right mouse click on the PC clock in the lower right hand corner-->Adjust Date/Time-->Change Time Zone-->Select the new time zone-->Click Ok.

      Hmm... Is this option to support custom time zones provided in v7?

        Unfortunately this option is not available within NinjaTrader 7 however I will forward this to our development team for future considerations.

          Chart time

          Hi,

          The chart time on the 1hr and 15 charts are different. The 1 hr chart is always showing as 1 hr ahead of time while the 15 minute chart is showing the correct time. At the moment, my time is 17.18(London time) but the 1 hr chart is on the 18.00 line. How do I correct this

            Please close NinjaTrader and sync your PC clock by double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Once you have done that, click on Internet Time tab and then click Update. Your PC clock should now be updated and you may restart NinjaTrader.

                Please close all your open workspaces by going to the Control Panel-->File-->Workspaces-->Close Workspace

                After you have closed all workspaces please create a new workspace by going to the Control Center-->File-->Workspaces-->New Workspace

                Within the new workspace please open a new 1 minute chart with no template or indicators applied and let me know if the issue persists.

                  All charts up to 30 minutes have the correct time. It is the 1 hr chart that is not matching the pc time

                    Hi horsemouth,

                    Can you check the timestamp on your bar by middle mouse clicking on it and let me know if this figure is an hour ahead as well or two hours ahead?

                      Hello,

                      The time at the moment is 9.04am , but the current 1 hr bar's stamp is showing 10.00am

                        Hi horsemouth,

                        I think such behaviour is correct. Bars in NT are showing the time at the close of the bar, so the 10:00am bar should include any ticks between 09:00:01am to 10:00:00am.

                          That is correct this 1 Hour bar will include data from 9:01 to 10:00 since NinjaTrader timestamps based off of the close of the bar.

                            Ok...Thanks for the help....By the way, "Stopped", I like your username. When I first saw it, I thought you had been stopped out of a trade while you were typing the reply only to notice it's your username..LOL...Nice one..Good trading to you
