    Session Begins/Ends

Not sure if this goes here for not...

Is it possible to not have the Globex session included in the charts?

I specifically watch ES and CL.

My session begins/ends in Chart Properties says 12:00AM, but doesn't allow me to change the time. It just reverts back to 12:00AM if I attempt to change it.

    Hello Ironman10,

In order to assist you with this issue, please include more detail as to what you are experiencing; such as:
    • What version of NinjaTrader are you running? This can be found under Help > About…
    • What data provider are you trying to connect to?

    Thank you,
    ChipNinjaTrader Customer Service

        Hello Ironman10,

First, please confirm that your symbol settings for ES match the ones in the screenshots I have provided.

Also, make sure you have Globex selected for Exchange & you are viewing the current front-month (ES 09-10).

If you configure your chart for the 24HR session (as you have already stated in your previous post), you should be able to view data for the overnight session.

Please let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

Yes, mine is configured like that, but I'm asking if it is possible to get rid of the overnight session?

            Hello Ironman10,

Yes – it is possible to save this setting. Have you tried saving your adjusted day time session (configuring your start & end times) in a custom Chart Template?

            Here are the steps:
            Saving a Template
            1. Once you have a chart set up to your liking, select the menu Templates-->Save As... from the right mouse click context menu within a chart
            2. The Save as Template dialog window will appear. Give your template a name and press the "OK" button.

            Loading a Template
            1. Select the menu Templates-->Load... from the right mouse click context menu within a chart
            2. Select the template you wish to load from the list of templates and press the "OK" button

Please let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

              EDIT: Nvm..i figured it out.

I guess you have to put the time in the session ends/begins exactly in the right format.

Before I was doing 09:30 and it would revert back to 12:00 AM. You have put in the time as 09:30 AM for it to accept the change.
