Cannot read text using text tool on black chart background

I prefer a black background on my charts. When marking up the chart with the text tool, I prefer a white background with black text for my label. This was no problem in NT 6.5, but in NT 7 the text input window is now black and I cannot read what I am typing, even though I have a white background selected in the input window. When I click "OK, the text appears on the chart as I intended, but entering the text is like typing with my eyes closed. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Also, how can I get the text labels to print on top of the chart indicators so they are not obscured?

    Hi Billy,

    Thank you for your post.

The text input field will be determined by your chart background color, and will not display until applied to the chart. When applying a white text box you will want to also set the opacity to 10, as that will display a fully white box on the charts.

To see what you are typing you will want to select the Font button and then change the text to white. After setting the text to white and typing you will want to re-select Font and then set it back to black so that it will be visible within the white text box.

I have forwarded a suggestion to development for an updated color text box so changing the font color is not necessary.

Thank you Ryan. Maybe I will just use white text instead of all the switching back and forth. Thanks for suggesting this to the development team. Just return it to the way it was in 6.5 and I, for one, will be happy. :-)

          Hello laredo78676,

You change the label of an Indicator by doing the following:
          * Right click inside of chart
          * Select Indicators
          * Select applied indicator(s) in the lower left panel
          * In the right panel change the "Label" parameter text to what you would like to see on the chart
          * To see nothing, remove all text

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

              Hello laredo78676,

It looks like you have it selected so all you would have to do to change/remove the text in the box to the right of Label by left clicking inside of the box and change/delete the text.

                Hi,

Thought I'd tack on to this older thread since I was looking to clean up chart text and it mentions removing the text by using a blank indicator label but I'm still left with text that I'd like to remove. I see the color is controlled by Color for Axis in Chart Properties but can the text either be removed or color changed independent of the axis. See attached screen shot.

                Thanks

                  florida99,

Please ensure that there are no spaces in the text field as this will still cause the text to display on the chart.
