Time zones control. How to change?

I'm new to Ninja and trading. I was playing with my charts and realized I have no idea what time zone they are in and also noticed that they were only running between 7:30 and 13:15 (I'm looking at that charts at the end of the day so I can not tell when time it stopped. I know it says 13:15, but don't know which time zone). I'd like my chart to only show market hours. Any one know how to set that up?

    Any help would great,

    Sphereless

    Hello,

    Thank you for your note.

The time on the charts will always be your local PC time zone. Therefor to set this up you will need to change the start and end session times for your time zone to correspond with the market close and open.

Are you using NinjaTrader 6.5 or NinjaTrader 7?

I look forward to assisting you further.

        Hello,

The chart time will always be in your local time zone. You can change the session template for the chart in NinjaTrader 7 by right clicking on the chart and selecting data series and then changing the session template for the displayed data. If you want 24 hours worth of data change the session template to Default 24/7.

Please also, make sure that the time zone and time on your PC is correct by double checking this but clicking on the time on your computer in the lower left corner and selecting change date and time to change check that your computer is set to your correct time zone

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Still can't figure out how to get the time right.

I want only the market hours to show on the ES. I live on the west coast and it does not start my day until 7:30 which is 10:30 EST. For the session template I am leaving it in default. Not sure what to do. I am using ninja 7.

                  Hello,

Thank you for your forum post.

To remove trade markers right click on the chart and select Data Series. Then change Plot Executions To DoNotPlot.

Also if you want the chart to be a regular trading ours only chart please also right click on the chart and go back to Data Series and then change the Session template the Session template for the instrument you are using.

                    question about stop loss orders.

What does the purple colored slm order mean and what does the numeric value to it's side mean. When I place the order it ask me to select a number, what does the number mean?

                        Time Zone Change

                        Hello Support
I am having difficulty changing time zone on my chart to how I need it to display
Here is what I've done :
I've changed my PC time to the market time I am following ( Sydney time) I did not restart my computer though let me know if this is necessary. ?
Then I created a new session time plate to correspond to Sydney time ( see picture)
Then after these steps not working I tried closing and restarting NT (I'm using NT 7.0) and checking that the template was being used in data series and all my settings were correct.
! Still this doesn't change the time zone on the chart, I don;t get it ?
                        Can you help please
                        Thank's

                          Hello dline,

                          Thank you for writing in.

Will you please send me a picture of the "Data Series" window? I tried the same as you and was able to load a chart from 10 AM to 4 PM for SPI 12-14.

I look forward to your reply.

                              Hello,

                              Thank you for your response.

If you right-click on the chart and select "Reload All Historical Data" does this display behavior persist? Additionally, did you make sure to select the correct time zone on your PC clock?

I look forward to your reply.
