    Orders Rejected , IB

I am trying to run a strategy and have set the order quantity to 1 , but I am still getting errors with 5 windows popping up for the error, 2 unique ones repeated twice or 3x:

    1. Order size exceeded avail a/c equity, reduce order size , affected order SellShort 1 mkt

    2. Strategy sub order ... error "order rejected" , strategy has sent cancel req attempted to close and terminated.

Pls help, thanks. I want to take it live next week.

    Hello Mrbeanbag,

The message you're getting means there isn't enough money in the account to submit the order. If this is submitted on a NT Sim101 account, follow these steps:

Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account.
    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
    • Select the "Simulator" tab
    • Press the "Reset" button

Oh Dear, it's happening again. Do I have to reset it every few hours?

Simulator / accounts / back101 , is that the info you asked for? I have NT connected to IB , I am not a live customer of NT yet, just using it for charting and backtesting.

            I followed your instructions.

It allows me to reset Sim101 and Replay101

I hope by resetting both I will not lose any vitally important tick data that I have been building up. I have reset Back101.

It sounds like you are using up the available account equity on your Sim 101 account.

Resetting will not erase your tick history. You may consider following the same steps but setting the Initial Cash value higher.
              • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
              • Select the "Simulator" tab
              • Set Initial Cash to 10,000,000
              • Press the "Reset" button
