IQ download problem

    IQ download problem

    Hi,
    I addded the list as new stock list, connected toTelvent DTN IQFeed and started downloading minute data since 1.1.2005 (I marked last in the right column in the download dialog window), pressed to download but always it ends strangely. The last ETF I download is PZT, - from the list of 442 I am able to downlaod only 261 ETFs.
    Can you please help me?

    Can you please try downloading any of the 181 ETF's separately (one at a time) and check if the requested historical data is loaded.

    Do you see any errors listed in the Control Center-->Log-tab?

    Could it be the DTN IQFeed connection is not enabled for the instruments that do not receive data?

      1/ yes, it separately works
      2/ only that one from trace file:
      IQFeed.Adapter.MessageLoopLookup msg='!ENDMSG!,': Část cesty C:\ nebyla nalezena.
      =Part of the path C:\ was not found
      3/ no

      I tried to download separately PZT and QABA which just followed and both downloaded successfully.

        Likely, the 442 instruments are too much to load in one time. I suggest to split the instruments in two instruments lists and subsequently load them in the Market Analyzer one by one.

        Let me know if the issue remains.

          probably yes, NT simply behaves strangely sometimes which scares me. it just happened to me again, after not 261, but only after 121 ETFs on PRFS which was the last successfully downlaoded ETF. yesterday I had no issues downloading DJIA, Nasdaq, SP500 and Russel 200 stocks, streamlines import of list (for Russel) and download without problems of hundreds of stocks which had in average much longer history than these ETFs. This is not logical, but happily only a minor bug. I fight with greater ones, but those are being solved in other threads.

            problem probably found: PRN cannot be downloaded even separately, I will try also on another computer and if it will work, I will post here asap.

              no, PRN is the problem, I do not understand why it looking for bad path just for this one or what. anyway, I got what I wnted, you shall consider if this is a bug of NT or IQFeed.

                Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with 'ATTN: Jason' in the subject line.

                In the message, please include the following:
                1.) A link to this forum thread.

                2.) Your most current trace file.
                You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
                Today's trace file would be named 'trace.20100824.txt'.

                  We have determined that the issue is a bug on the IQFeed servers. IQFeed has informed us this will be fixed by this weekend.
