I'm new here in this forum and pretty unexperienced with NinjaTrader.
I would like to connect NinjaTrader with a Matlab Trading Tool. Matlab issues trading signals based on the analysis of fundamental macro data. It would be impossible to program this kind of trading system into NinjaTrader itself. I think about the following solution:
1.) Matlab writes the trading signals (1/-1/0) into an file.
31/05/2010 -1
30/06/2010 0
2.) Via NinjaScripts I would like to process this file in a real-time fashion. The following question are open:
- Are there any predefined methods/functions available in NinjaScripts for reading in this kind of files ?
- Where would the code for reading in the signals be located in a NinjaScripts trading logic (e.g. OnBarUpdate, etc.) ?
- Would it be possible to programm some mechanism, where these files are checked automatically, whether file has new entry (date + signal)? NinjaScripts has all this On...() methods, but none seems to fit for this kind of task.
Thanks for our support
