add extra text column in MA

Is it possible to add extra text columns in MA like the "description" column.

I am not sure if I completely follow your inquiry. However, unfortunately you cannot add additional columns that will display text you like. You could create custom indicators and load them using an indicator column in the Market Analyzer.

Could someone tell me how to enter data in the Description column of the MA?
As a new user, I've got much of NT mastered, but this one escapes me.

Usually you can simply add this column in the MA window and it will populate with the description once you connect to your data provider (see screenshot)

Is this not the case? Who are you connecting to & what symbol/description is not populating?

HI Chip, I misunderstood its function. I thought it would allow the user to type in information about that particular row.

Is there no option for that in MA?

Currently there is not. The closest thing would be to right-click and “Add Label Row”.

It is sad that MA does not have this facility.

But, I have a way out. I have placed my chosen text in the Instrument name and managing. As I deal with about 30 instruments only and instrument name is not very important to me.

Prefixing the intended text to the instrument name is another possibility.

But the best way is that NT provides a new column for user notes.
