Login failed

i got my first ninja free demo just yesterday, friday

i try to get my account connection setup with all the information provided by my broker, velocity (they give you tradingtechnologies feed)

and when i try to connect i got this error

Login failed: Unable to initialize API: Configuration failed: Could not open body file

i contact ninja support and the rep told me to go to Tools - Options - Misc - and Repair DB

that did the trick and i was able to connect to trading technologies

i asked the support rep why i had to repair whatever i had to repair when it was the very first time i used ninja trader

he said he didn't know





well everything worked out fine after that so it was no longer an issue

then several hours later i got a live license key

and i was still able to connect

but today, i have expereinced the same error message




when i tried to connect, it said

Login failed: The Fix server is not responding, unable to connect

i then tried to log in again and it said

Login failed: Unable to initialize API: Configuration failed: Could not open body file

the same error as before





now i am tempted to repeat the same procedure the support rep had told me before but the ninja instructions said i shouldn't touch "repaird DB" button unless advised by a support rep

so here i am



1.i would like to know if "repair DB" would resolve this issue

2. and why the heck i am getting this error message and have to repair the database when i JUST got ninja trader for the first time




(have to say this platform is very hard to use.... )

ok since i was not willing to wait for long, i went ahead and clicked on the "repair DB" button thinking this would resolve the issue like the first time

it didn't

so now i'm worried

first attempt brings up this message

please help


why is this platform so hard to use....

farcry360, you're likely running into the weekend maintenance, please retry when the markets officially reopen.

i was just being impatient

since it had only been a couple days since i got my ninja trader for the first time, i was eager to learn its features
