Do session templates apply for daily charts?

Hello,
I have created a custom session template (4.00 AM - 1.30 PM PST) Mon-Fri. When I specify this template, I see intra day charts displaying accordingly.

When I specify this custom session template for daily charts, I thought the daily bars on the chart will be created according to the session template I specified (i.e., daily bar open = price @ 4.00 AM PST and close = 1.30 PM PST). I don't see that happening.

Are session templates applicable only for intra day charts? Or am I missing some configuration?
Instrument: 6E
Data feed: Tried with Zenfire and Kinetick.
NinjaTrader: v 7.0 beta 21.

The session templates are for use with managing session begin & end times for intraday charts.

Thanks. The documentation doesn't mention this and chart window allows me to specify both the time frame (daily) as well as a custom session template.

Just to make sure I understand - so session templates do not apply to chart time frames daily and up? For instruments like 6E then what template does daily chart use? CME Forex RTH?

Yes - the session templates are for use with managing session begin & end times for intraday charts.

For instruments such as 6E you will want to refer to the CME contract specifications for what sessions times would be included in the Daily interval/bar:
