Cant pull full data on volume or tick charts

    Cant pull full data on volume or tick charts

    I have IQFeed and NT7. It`s Sunday evening right now if that makes a difference.

    I have no problem charting the past 15 days with any minute based chart but if I use volume or tick based I get a gap of a couple of days in a row that are completely missing. I tried refreshing and creating new charts. Once I switch back to minute based all the data is immediately there. Please advise.

    Thank you for your post.

    In this case, please remove, repair, and recreate the connection to IQFeed:
    • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
    • Then go to the Tools menu--> select Options--> select the Data tab--> click Repair DB
    • Restart NinjaTrader
    • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.

    Now recreate the connection. For convenience, this link included the instructions:


    NOTE: You must have use version 4.7.1.3 IQFeed Client software - Download

    Please let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

      Followed steps exactly and at first the issue was not resolved. Changed the volume chart back to minute one more time, all the data was there again, then switched back to volume and it was fixed...strange.

        Hello smeagol,

        In this case, just isolate the individual Log & Trace files for the last day your experienced this issue.

        You can find these in you My Documents folder in the folders:

        1. NinjaTrader 7 > Trace > trace.2010MMDD.txt

        2. NinjaTrader 7 > Log > log.2010MMDD.txt

        Just attach the two text files to you email & send it to support AT ninjatrader DOT com
