Chart not updating for VXX

Hello,
Thank you for your note.
This may be due to the Session template you have applied. Please right mouse click within your chart-->Data Series-->Session template-->Select Default 24/5 or Default 24/7-->Click Ok.
If required SMART routing would need to be added to the instrument mapping within NinjaTrader.
Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.Christopher J.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Thanks , it worked, is there any way to set 24/7 as the default? When adding new instruments which routing should I be checking? Is "default" the best choice for IB feed? For the VXX I used default, NYSE, Island, IB Tmbr , but in 6.5 I believe it was "smart" routing, is smart now redundant under 7?

To set the Default Session template to "Defaut 24/7" please the steps I have provided below:- Tools
- Instrument Manager
- Select the instrument within the Available master instrument list
- Edit
- Definitions tab
- Session template
- Select the new template
- Click Ok
- Remove the instrument from your Default list and add it back in
If Smart routing is required within the Misc tab when editing your instrument you would add it to the mapping.Christopher J.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Thanks for your help, but I'm going back to 6.5. I'm having lots of trouble getting data, loading charts, even just changing the tick or range values on my charts seems to result in it getting stuck in "loading" mode. When it does work it takes longer than 6.5 does. From what I have read NT7.0 is supposed to be vastly superior but I am not getting that impression. I guess I'll have to wait for the official release and hope that it works better then.

Can you please tell me what version of NinjaTrader you currently have installed by going to Help-->About. If you do not have NinjaTrader 7.0.0.21 installed please upgrade at the link I have provided below.

Next please install IB Standalone TWS 906 at the link I have provided below.
