Downloading Historical Data

Hello.

I accessed Historical Data Manager, selected the time frame desired, and downloaded the data. However, I do not know how to load it. I thought 'import', but no data file is located in that directory.

For example, if I wanted 1 minute data for CL from 8/2/10 to now, how would I go about obtaining it.

Thank you for your post.

If you are referring to using the Market Replay feature make sure you complete the following steps after you have downloaded the historical data:

To connect to Market Replay data:

1. Left mouse click on the File menu in the Control Center
2. Select the menu item Connect
3. Select the menu item Market Replay Connection

"Connected - Replay" should now show in the lower left hand corner of the NinjaTrader Control Center.

Thanks Chip, but what I meant something different.

Today if you bring up a 1 min chart for GC, you have the past week's data. What can I do if I wanted a 1 min chart for GC for the past month?

Hello nepenthean,

Please configure the Data Series menu of the chart so it will load the amount of historical data you like. Go to Control Center-->File-->New-->Chart and the Data Series menu will appear.

Set the options under 'Data' to your liking. I suggest to enter a value of 30 next to 'Days to load'. Subsequently it will load historical data from the Historical Data Manager and any historical data not present will be loaded from the connected data feed.
