Futures contracts not working on Kinetick realtime.

Hi,
I have difficulties using some of the futures in Ninjatrader in conjunction with Kinetick realtime datafeed, they do not provide proper data when using them in a chart or market-analyzer.
The symbols for them in the instrument manager are: NG,SI,GC,GF,GPB,HE,LE,OJ I set them up as continuous contract i.e. ##-##

I investigated them closer by looking at the symbol set-up for Kinetick and found following:

NG "Natural Gas": recieve historical data but no realtime stream.
SI "COMEX Silver Futures": there is no symbol for Kinetick
GC "Comex Gold Futures": there is no symbol for Kinetick
GF "Feeder Cattle": the ICX symbol for Kinetick is pointing to the "national corn index" on the MGE exchange.
GPB "Frozen Pork Bellies: recieve no data with the P symbol for Kinetick.
HE "Lean Hogs" and LE "Live Cattle": share both the L symbol for Kinetick.
OJ "Orange Juice" and ZO "Oats Futures" share both the @O symbol for Kinetick, when I chart OJ, I recieve the data for ZO.

Can you have a look at these?

Please try the following symbol mappings:

Symbol: Symbol Map
NG: QNG
SI: QSI
GC: QGC
GF: @GF
GPB: PB
HE: @HE
LE: @LE
OJ: @OJ
ZO: @O

For the benefit of other readers, you can edit a symbol map for Kinetick at "Tools>Instrument Manager>Edit>Misc Tab>Symbol Map>Kinetick"

Thank you, I made the changes for the Kinetick symbol mapping, with the symbols provided and all the instruments work now.

I am able to get data ok for Sugar.
What interval and expiration are you using?
Are you getting a specific error?

I am using the 03-11 contract in the strategy analyzer and the error I am getting is

Error on loading chart data for 'SB 01-11 Nybot': Unable to load historical data: unknown instrument

Is it odd that the error is referencing a contract I am not trying to get data for?

Using daily - time frame 01/04/2010 - 01/03/2011

For the SB, you can do either of the following:

Use the continuous contact SB ##-##
Or, you can change the merge policy at "Tools>Instrument Manager>SB>Edit>Merge Policy>DoNotMerge"

I am getting really angry now. Of course you can create a SB chart with MergeBackAdjusted settings. The only problem is that the SB 01-11 contract does not exist.

I have now posted this five times, and it is always ignored. Please scrap this contract, and the SB charts will load correctly. Even worse, upon every connection that stupid contract is reloaded. I have deleted it many times already.

Could you please simply delete it once and forever and never load it again?

Your request along with other people's for removing 01-11 contract on SB has already been heard. It was never ignored.

Unfortunately removing a contract is not as simple as just saying "let us delete this contract" and it will be done for. There are many server implications that are involved with removal of the contract and a lot of data file restructuring involved in the backend. It is on our list and I can confirm to you that in fact the process to remove it has already begun.

There is no need to continually attempt to do anything with this contract on your end in the meantime as it will all be moot until the server maintenance on SB is complete. Thank you for your patience and we will inform you when it is ready.

01-11, 01-10, and other January contracts on the SB have been removed from our servers. Please remove them one last time from your local installs in the Instrument Manager and you will not see them again. Thank you.
