Hello cw30000,
Yes, you can setup commissions in NinjaTrader.
Please see the link below how commissions can be setup in NinjaTrader.
You can setup commissions in the Instrument Manager as well. These will override the commissions you have setup in the Options menu.
A minimum commission will apply commissions per side per order.
A commission level will apply commissions per side per contract/share.
Subsequently enable 'Apply commission to PnL calculations' at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->General-tab. Commissions will now be included in the PnL (profit and loss value).
Please note that the help guide reflects incorrect information. You will need to setup commissions levels as follows.

No Jason thats not it. What cw30000 is saying is this:
For FX trades, IB charges $2.50 per single trade under 125,000 currency units & it charges 2 basis points of the total value traded over 125,000 currency units. So in order to enter the commission correctly for IB in NT, you need to show us two things. First to enter the minimum amount of $2.50 if under 125,000 currency units and Second, how to enter 2 basis point charge if over 125,000 currency units. (Note, 125,000 * 2bps = $2.50, so every > 125,000 *2bps will be incremental and > $2.50). Thanks.

Hello MKTTHOTS,
Thank you for clarifying. You can setup commission levels as well in NinjaTrader, however I am not sure if this will allow you to setup such a commission structure.
A commission level will allow you to setup commission per contract (unit) per side. Please see the link below for more information under 'How to add a tiered commission rate'.

IB Commissions are based on Market Value
Hi,
IB commissions are based on the Market Value of the order. For example, if you are trading EUR/USD, for say 200,000 Euros, the commission is
(0.00002) x (200,000) * Current Euro Price.
The way NT handles commissions right now, it's based on "units". For example, in this setup, NT would incorrectly calculate $4 commissions, when it's closer to $5.15 ($4 X Euro price in USD).
It would be good if NT could support this type of commission structure for IB Forex.
Thanks,
Mo
