How to gray out afterhours on all charts as a default?

    Hello,

New to the forum, so hello everyone! How do I gray / shade out pre market and afterhours? I still want it on my chart as normal, I just want to be able to distinguish normal hours from pre / after hours; but still want to draw my analysis on the chart as a whole.

I am in the Eastern Time Zone: Eminis market from 9:30am to 4:15 pm

    Thanks a bunch!

You can setup the session begin and end times of a chart in NinjaTrader 6.5 in the chart properties menu. Please double click the canvas of the chart to open the chart properties menu. Subsequently enter the times to your liking. More information can be found at the link below.

I could be wrong, but I think that will just remove the data from the chart entirely, and he wanted to just grey it out, but still have it on the chart.

I see. Yes, my instructions will exclude the historical data from the chart. Unfortunately it is not supported by default to grey/shade out parts of historical data in a chart.

You could create a custom indicator that will grey/shade out data in a way. Please see the link below for information regarding creating custom indicators.

In addition, if you have no programming experience, you could contact any of the supported NinjaScript consultants at the following link.
