    MACD Paintbar

I would like to paint the bars[candles] red or green based on MACD being below or above the MACD AVG line.

Could someone tell me how to do that?

    Hello,

Thank you for your forum post.

This would require custom programming. Are you a programmer looking for me to point you in the right direction to code this or are you wondering if this is possible in the software. If its the later this is not possible without custom coding. If your looking to custom code this let me know and I can get you some links to help you code this yourself. Also, please let me know if your on NinjaTrader 6.5 or NinjaTrader 7 for me to send the right programming links.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

        Hello rtj4201,

Please see here for the multi color plot approach used in version 6.5:
        Multi-Colored Plots

The multi color approach for version 7 is different and details can be found here:

          This may help you.?
          Exported using NT 6.5

          MACDDiffBC: Macd above/below Avg

and a variation for combination for Macd above/below Avg and Zero Line.
          MACDMultiBC
My scripting skills are pretty basic.
I don't know how to have the bar colour option in the indicator settings, so you need to open the script via edit to alter those.
Maybe someone can solve that ? and/or have both indicators in one ?

Look in the script via edit to maybe get the idea to do your own thing.

                  Hello,

I would recommend downloading the .zip files again by right clicking and selecting the 'Save link target as' option.

I love "MACDDiffBC: Macd above/below Avg" , by rtj4201 , but it does not work with NT8. Is there any to be used with NT*?
                        TIA
