Is this right? Large 64 bit mem use

I've been using NT7 in 32 bit mode for a while. Loaded up 64 bit after re-installing everything. Upon connection to Interactive Brokers, it loads data for 20 minutes and counting. Currently it's using 5 gigs of RAM. Is this correct?

I only have one chart open which is a 60M $EURUSD chart. It shows loading data for $usdjpy.

It eventually took up 7 gigs of ram and hung.

I have loaded 365 daily days with zen(64) and never exceeds 30% (2g)of my 6 gig,, NT7 64bit, 64bit Ultimate.. I'm using the Win7 gadget to measure usage. Don't know where win7 keeps the disk cache info..
Have a 3.3 dual core processor,, had a quad but the dual was faster overall..
Loading for 20 minutes sounds about right..
Have u tried to connect up to KineTic (free eod) for comparison?

        richtobey,

Loading for 20mins is not the norm unless the chart you are requesting has insane amounts of data being requested. Do you happen to have any active workspaces in the background? Please send in your log/traces and a timestamp around the time you were requesting data for so we can take a look.

        gg80108,

The data is stored in Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db directory.

              gg80108,

Yes, that is quite a large amount of data to be loading. Range charts are built off tick data. You are effectively loading 365 days of tick data.

              richtobey,

I did not happen to see the ticket come in. Do you have the support ticket # for the submission you placed with the log/traces? Thanks.
