Hello Jason,
thank you for the propmt answer. I will continue using TWS 906. I am not sure what that exactly means, but the message from IB claimed that sometime in November they will stop supporting the previous TWS version. Hopefully this does not mean the previous TWS versions will stop working...

Newer editions of TWS do not allow 1-click orders on Booktrader. Fast entries are absolutely necessary for me (i am a scalper), so I should stay with a built prior to 905. Any place to download 903 or 904? There was a NT page with all the previous builts for download somewhere but i lost the address.. Any help?

Hello ikons,
Unfortunately I am not aware of a source that will allow you to download those versions. I suggest to check with IB if they can provide the version you like.
I am not familiar with the NT page you refer - we only provide TWS version 906 on our IB connection guide.

TWS supported version confusion?
Vassil,
If you are getting this message from your TWS "needs to be upgraded to version 901.8" then you are probably using the previous NT supported version of TWS (which was 900.6 in March 2010)
You may be assuming this is the same as "version 906" referred to by Jason in post 2, but it is not. The full version Jason is referring to is 906.8.
If you uninstall 900.6 and install the version that Jason points to in post 2, then you will no longer get this warning message when you login to TWS.
I dont know when NT switched their supported TWS version from 900.6 to 906.8, but I have asked if the next switch can be made more obvious.

"Critical: You must use standalone TWS 906 (browser version NOT supported) with the current production release of NinjaTrader - Download"
http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...ivebrokers.htm
You will need to use TWS 906 with both NinjaTrader 6.5 and 7. It could be later versions will work as well, however they are not supported at the moment.JasonNinjaTrader Customer Service

As always even after all this time NT is there with my answer............NT ver 6.5 with forced TWS upgrade today. Thanks for having a download ready to keep me connected as my old TWS went kaput today and of course I waited for last minute. IB never did have a good "old" version selection and nice to see NT's recommended version/download without going max upgrade on TWS. Google got me right to NT page BTW using a plain "TWS 901.8" key word search.
Thanks

I get the same message (906.8 will not be supported) .
But anyone who only connects to TWS via NT may not see it because NT closes the popup message before it can be read.
Has NT tested compatibility of NT7 with TWS 906.9 (or a later version)?
If not what is the advice for operation of NT7 with IB after Dec 14 2010?
