Here's A Way to Draw Channels Quickly & Cleanly

on the 5 minute the channel appears,but its way way off the points drawn on the 60 minutes

Several ideas this area...

After an initial set up of a Trend Channel I will sometimes use the Zoom tool (Ctrl+Z) to zoom in on chart points to verify the Trend line and Parallel lines are precisely where desired...also sometimes will draw the initial set up of the Trend line from right to left (on charts with 2 data series)....that way you will have an anchor point on the right end of the Parallel line and this can keep the Parallel line on an adjacent smaller scale chart where it may otherwise not appear if the right end of the Trend line may be off the left side of the chart....maybe play around with this a bit....

As you are looking at a different resolution of the chart, you may find that the trend lines will change when you switch to the lower time frame.

For most accurate trend line drawings I'd suggest what Alfred has recommended, in addition you can try drawing your trend lines on the 5 minute series. It may also help to set the "Snap mode" to "Bar and Price".

I still havent gotten how to set up the trend channel lines so that they transfer to al charts correctly and i gather this is a defect that has to be worked around.Can i get a 12345 steps on what i need to do please?

Trend channel to A/R set work around

To draw an A/R set, I modified the default properties for the trend channel as follows:

Trend line: Dash Style: Dash (so I can see the center line)
Parallel line: unchanged

Percentage: -100.00 (Same color, width & Dash Style as Parallel line)



This will create an equidistant parallel reaction line.
