    Unable to view SPI Data from Interactive Brokers

    I am unable to retrieve data for the Dec Spi futures contract via my IB feed. I am able to recieve the data for the ES and FTSE without any problem. I have played around with the default settings with no results. Can anyone guide how to get it to work.

    Hello Brad,

    Can you please check if the SPI instrument is setup as per the attached screenshots. Go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager, highlight the SPI and click Edit.

    Once finished click Ok and restart NinjaTrader. Subsequently check if you receive data.

      Hi Jason thanks for the quick reply. I should have mentioned I am using N7. The instrument editor has some different fields as to the example you have shown. Merge Policy and session template. I have tried various configs but I cannot seem to get he SPI to work. Any other suggestions? I am having a coded stategy built which I am told will be better suited for N7 than the earlier additions, so I need to use N7.

          Hi Jason I am getting closer I can finally see the price of the SPI. The last item to tick off is the charts for the SPI. Again I can get all others to work bar the SPI. I have played around with times etc. I am located in Queensland where we do not have daylight savings. The SNFE is 1 hour ahead of us located in Sydney. I have played with the times to no avail. Can you help me with this?

            Can you clarify for me the issue in the chart?

            Is it that no data loads in the chart, or that times seem to be incorrect?

                Can you please tell me what interval is selected in the chart. Please note that historical tick data is not supported with IB, so any tick based charts will not be able to load any historical data.

                Do you experience any error messages? If so, please tell me what they state.

                Unfortunately I cannot test it on our end - our live IB account is not authorized for the SPI.

                  Hi Jason not using Tick charts just the minutes and hours, none come on the charts. No error message is received on the chart it basically shows loading for a few seconds then I am left with a blank chart. As previously advised I am know receiving price data in the order window and can see market depth in the superdom. Other futures like the FTSE, ES and YM all work fine straight away.

                      Hi Kyle I downloaded version 906 from your website. I can't seem to verify the model in IB when I go to help then about TWS it only flashes up for a milli second.

                        Hello,

                        Please disconnect with NinjaTrader and then go into the options in NinjaTrader for Control Center->Tools->Account Connections. Then Edit the IB connection and then follow the nexts in the wizard until you get to the option named : Run-time pop up handling and uncheck this.

                        Then reconnect with NinjaTrader and you will now be able to verify the version number.

                            Thanks for the confirmation - you are on the right version.

                            If you load SPI in other windows, like the SuperDOM, do you see data flowing?
