I downloaded the platform and signed up for Zenfire. However, I am not getting live data - if I generate a chart the data is up to date, but not bringing in new data.
I clicked on connect w hich is active and clicked on the external connection.
Also, I want to use the ES continuous contract - what is the symbol? I only see the day contract. Thanks.

For NinjaTrader 7 make sure you are employing a session template that will allow you to view after-hours data; e.g. 24/7

Hello JerryA,

Assuming you are using NinjaTrader 7 you can use the front month for ES 12-10 & set the merge policy by going to Tools > Options > Data tab & selecting the desired “Merge policy” from the drop-down menu.

What I meant was do I have to have a futures account to have a live datafeed - I might want to work on simulator for a while before opening a live account. Can I do that?

Yes – the demo will allow you to connect & get data into the NinjaTrader platform. From there you can trade in simulation mode. I don’t believe they require a live account to gain access to the demo. You will want to check with the broker to confirm.
