    Interactive Brokers Commission Structure Possible?

I can't get correct commission rates to show.

The problem is that NT calculates commission based on how many shares traded, whereas IB FOREX calculates commission based on total price.

So if I traded 1 mill EURO with .2 basis point commission rate, NT shows it as $20 (.00002 X 1 mil). But really it is 1 million X 1.3303 (sample EURO price) X .00002) Which makes it slightly higher.

    Anyway to modify this?

    Hello aleehatami,

    Thank you for your post.

So that I can recreate a similar scenario on my side, please provide the current commission settings you have configured. If its easier then perhaps you can upload a screenshot that shows these settings.
    To upload a screenshot:
    1. Press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the window.
    2. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint,
    3. Press CRTL + V to paste the image.
    4. Please make sure you save the file in jpeg format.

    Thank you,
    ChipNinjaTrader Customer Service

        Hello,

So that I understand correct the main issue here is that the commission currency is displayed in USDollar and you want the currency displayed in Euro correcy?

I look forward to assisting you further.

          No.

The commission for IB forex is calculated this way:

          Shares X Price X .00002 (ex: 1000000 x 2.00 x .00002 = $40)

Ninjatrader calculates it just by shares:

          Shares X .00002 (ex 1000000 x .00002 = $20)

So in that example there is a $20 mistake in calculation.

            Hello,

Right however the only reason to multiply it by price that I can see is to change the commission into the currency of the pair cross your trading, acting as a currency exchange if I see the math correctly here.

Unfortunately this would not be supported in NinjaTrader.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
