moving template from old computer to new one

How can I move my favorite templates over from old computer to new? Thanks

Template files are located in the following folder -

    C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\templates\Chart

You can copy the files from this folder to the same folder on your new PC.

Can I have similar procedure for transfering the indicators? I have quite a few custom indicators lying in my other computer.?

Yes. Indicators are located in \My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\bin\Custom\Indicator

        Strategies are located in \My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\bin\Custom\Strategy

After you copy them over you will need to open any one of them up and recompile.

          For clarification -

          - Custom is defined as your own written indicators or indicators that did not come from 3rd party vendors or have specific installation instructions from the author

          - For 3rd party indicators you should follow their installation instructions

I've ended up saving a lot of different templates, and for a while I was getting confused as to which one was which.

What I found I could do is, using Windows Explorer, to go to this same folder that Ray mentions (templates\Chart) and rename the files there, and these changed names then show up when you subsequently do a right-click, templates load from a chart.

This is probably obvious, but should be mentioned in case one hasn't looked ... Regarding custom strategies and indicators, if you look with Windows Explorer, you will notice that the names of the files which are included as a standard part of the NinjaTrader distribution are prefixed with an "at" sign ("@"), whereas any custom NinjaScript files that have been added later will not have this "@" prefix. When viewing or selecting these indicators and strategies from screens within NinjaTrader, the "@" doesn't display in either case.
