    It seems that this release will address the issue of TWS 906.8 expiration. Could we download TWS 911 through your site?

    Thank you for your post.

    This version is not yet available on our site as we await the update for NT 7 as well, but you could upgrade via IB's site.

      Actually, this release has the problem working with TWS911. After trying out, I see the same bug as reported in another thread about "cannot switching between multiple IB accounts from TWS->Account"

        Hello millridge,

        Yes, unfortunately there is a known issue using that TWS version. Please see the forum thread below.


        Another user has posted a link to install TWS 906.9 (post #38).

          What version of NT will work with TWS 906.9?

          Ninja,

          I have followed the instructions on the other post, I have loaded TWS 906.9, and I am using NT 6.5.1000.19 and it is still not working. Can someone please tell me what is going on and which version of NT I need to use to make this work again. I also tried to mail in support files, and that function is not working from NT.

          Please advise ASAP, my company is dead in the water!!!

            Those versions should be what you need.

            Clarify for me what isn't working so that I may better assist.
            If you receive error messages, I'd need you to provide their full text.

              The connect function will not connect . . .

              Kyle,

              I fire up NT, and then try to open up my connection to IB, and it does not work. Once it tries to connect, I get a failure that an Error has occurer, and that NT needs to shutdown, please use the Help->Mail to support function to send all relevant trace files to NT.

              I tried to do that, and that function is not working either.

              I rebooted my machine about 10 times, to no avail. This all started at the 4 PM close today.

                Are you still unable to connect this morning?

                Can you please send us your log and trace files manually. You can find log and trace files at the following locations.

                Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Log--> log.20101214 for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

                Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20101214 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

                Please send them to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Put 'Attn Kyle' in the subject header and reference this forum thread.

                  Working now . . .

                  I simply had to upgrade to NT Version 7, and I am using TWS 906.9. Nothing I could do could make it work with 6.5.1000.19, but I did not try to fix the connection.

                  Just curious, as part of NT 7, did you finally implement that a default connection will be brought up on start-up of the app? I remember this being on the wish list, just not sure if it was implemented.

                    Hi Thomas,

                    Yes, all connection setups have an Autostart capability. This can be checked for each connection in the Tools > Account Connections screen.

                      Ryan,

                      So if you start up NT7, and I have a connection labelled "PROD", then it will automatically connect? I set auto-logon for the connection, but to actually connect to this particular connection on start-up I have to do it through a macro.

                            HI arbifox,

                            If you were to set NinjaTrader's created IB connection, which you called 'PROD' to connect on startup then it should initiate the connection within NinjaTrader, which will then open the TWS platform.

                            To fully automate this process you will want to go to Tools-->Account Connections-->highlight the IB connection-->Change, and on the page where you would input your username and password please make sure the Auto Logon option is enabled.

                            Both of those settings as part of the created IB connection should automatically initiate the connection to IB upon NinjaTrader startup.

                              It works!!!

                              This is awesome. One change, you have to enable "Connect on Start-Up", and it is a check box.

                              Thanks so much guys . . . this is huge.

                              I can now ditch Macro Express which was causing me other issues.
