    Version 7.0.1 will not run (must be doin somethin wrong)

    The installation of 7.0.1 seemed to go smooth (replacing 7.0.23), but when running the 32 bit version there are no charts or Control Center visible. There is no active icon in my tool bar at the bottom of the screen. By looking at the absence of any open windows you’d think the program was not running at all – HOWEVER, the task manager shows it as a Process that is running and if I try to start it again an error message says there is already an application running. But NO visible outputs???
    I can successfully run the 64 bit version of 7.0.1 and my charts come on screen with custom indicators (so the workspace was saved successfully), and the Control Center is normal. However, my broker PFG does not support 64 bit.
    In previous updates I needed to also update the PFG.API file, but in reading about this installation there is apparently no need to update PFG.API. – am I right about that?
    I’ve never experienced the program running in task manager but absolutely NO indication on screen or in the tool bar that it is running.
    Suggestions??? Thanks so much!

    As long as you’re using PFG API version 1.0.445 you’re good on that front.

    As for the 32-bit issue you are experiencing, please forward your Log & Trace files to our Support Desk by going to Help > Mail to Support…

      Hello Chip,
      My broker is also PFG and connected to PFG.API 1.0.445.
      Its funny that I can run the 32 bits but not the 64 bits NT7 version on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits PC.

        Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com.

        In the message, include the following:

        1.) A link to this forum thread.

        2.) Your most current trace file.
        You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
        Today's trace file will be named 'trace.20101213.txt'.
