hello,

regarding the edition of a strategy in "strategy action" window.

You can choose "Stop Loss total position (cash)"

If you enter 1000$ that mean if your total loss of the day reach 1000$ the strategy stop the trading?

is the stop exactly at 1000$ or after the end of the current trade?

is there a user manual of the strategy edit of NT7?

Thanks for your forum post.

This is the current Unrealized PnL. Therefor if you only want to risk $200 on one trade and you want your stop loss to be $200 dollar risk but you dont want to calculate how many ticks that is you can just input $200 here and NinjaTrader will do the calculation for you on where to place the stop loss.

It relates purely to the stop loss placement and not to end trading for the day or PnL at the end of the day.

Question, in the example the loss limit is only regarding the realized PL?

to stop the trade if "realized + unrealized" reach 400$ ? is it possible?

Correct, this example would deal with the realized Pnl only. You could add unrealized Pnl into it as well to trigger an strategy stop while being in the trade - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...profitloss.htm
