    Hello Pedro,
    Thank you for your post.
Creating a backup with all the items selected you will back up the information you have listed:
    1. Instrument Settings
    2. Imported Indicators and Ninjascript files
    3. All Workspace Templates
    4. All Market Analyzer Templates
    5. All personalized settings
    6. All Added instruments

The following link has additional information on creating a backup.

Thank you Cameron for your response....

If I DONT CARE about Historical Chart or Market Replay Data, can I UNSELECT Historical Chart Data AND Market Replay Data from the BACKUP OPTIONS without risking loosing any of these:
      1. Instrument Settings
      2. Imported Indicators and Ninjascript files
      3. All Workspace Templates
      4. All Market Analyzer Templates
      5. All personalized settings
      6. All Added instruments

I want to make my file as SMALL as possible without risking ANY of these customized settings that have taken me a long time to put together.

      Thanks

      PEDRO
PS: The Reason I ask is that one time on NT 6.5 I lost all my customized instruments because I did not check one of the Backup items.

        Pedro,

When you add a new instrument to NinjaTrader 6.5 and 7, it is saved to the Database.

To ensure your backups include any added instruments and instrument settings you will need to include Database (Historical trade data).

You can exclude Market Replay Data from your backup and not lose any of your listed items.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

          Session Templates

I'd like to piggyback on this thread and ask whether (or which checkbox to select)-to make sure that session templates (the templates of session days and hours) are saved in the backup?

          ---------------------------------
          on a related topic:

Are the session template selection (set on the Chart's "DataSeries" window) saved in the chart template file?

            Hello Jim-Boulder,

            Thank you for your post.

            1) Session Templates are saved in the Database, you will need to check Database (Historical trade data)

            2) Session template selection is saved to chart templates. This can also be set to default for the interval type, Right click on your chart -> Data Series -> Set the Session Template and Right Click -> Select 'Set Default for ... Period Type'
