      Hello hcgaloi,

Can you please tell me what NinjaTrader version you have installed. You can check this at Control Center-->Help-->About.

Please make sure you have version 7.0.1000.2 installed. You can download and install it from the link below.

You will need to use PFG API client version 1.0.458 with NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.2. You can install it from the following link.

Once you installed these versions, please reboot your PC and check if you can get connected to PFG.

Thank you, Jason, for your reply.

I have the latest NT v7.0.1000.2 and PFG API 1.0.458 installed. After a trail of errors, the following steps fixed the issue for me:

        1) Uninstall NT from control panel
        2) Uninstall PFG API from control panel
        3) Reboot system
        4) Re-install NT
        5) Reboot system
        6) Reinstall PFG API

I have noticed that rebooting system in between uninstalling/reinstalling and MUST install NT before PFG API help. If I installed PFG API before NT then it would not work i.e. the error dialog box would appear.

          Hello hcgaloi
I felt very happy that this TIP might work with PFG API, since I am in the process of unistall/reinstall for the last one week, but it does not work on my pc, still getting message'error on historical data". Any genius person on this forum can find a way out for this long and tiring process. I am using windows 7 64 bit.
          thanks in advance.

                Hi Willyad,

Yes, I had to deal with PFG not loading historical data, too. On your charts, in Data Series->Days to Load, you need to make the numbers smaller. For example, daily chart must be less than 300 days; 90 days for 60min charts, etc....

Just experiment to see what the threshold for each chart that you have, starting for small to larger. Good luck

thanks for response. I am just loading only three days data for range chart. Problem is with windows7 firewall settings, for which PFG itself has no clue how to solve it. I am in correspodance with them for the last one week, but they have no suitable answer to this issue. e.g. they sent me a pdf file to set ports, which pertains to XP not Windows 7.
In nutshell forum members has to find a solution, PFG is not looking keen to solve this issue.
