    Change Strategy Analyzer Account

    Hi Guys,

I have been using the strategy analyzer and would like to either change the account size of the backtest account, or change the overall associated account the strategy analyzer uses. Is this possible, and if so how?

    Thanks,

    Hello MrLogik,

Unfortunately this backtest account is unavailable to modify for tests running from strategy analyzer.

You can apply a strategy on a chart to a specific account, and view historical performance for this strategy. Once the strategy has been applied, Right Click > Strategy Performance > Historical.

      Ryan,

Thanks for the help. That will work for what I'm trying to do.

When I create a new Simulation account (Backtest101 for example) with an account size of 4,000,000 and try to run the strategy on that account it just disables. By setting it to SIM101 it works fine, but that has the limited Account size.

Any thoughts as to why this would occur?

There should be a specific disable message in log tab of control center. What message are you getting there?

Unfortunately there is nothing shown in either the LOG tab, nor the output window.

What happens exactly when you apply the strategy? Any messages? I'm not sure how you're identifying it's disabled.

Can you run SampleMACrossOver strategy on this secondary account?

              Hi Ryan,

Very strange. I restarted and it now seems to be working.

I knew it was disabling because whenever I set the Enabled to True, then clicked apply, it would switch back to false on its own and a (D) would appear in the upper left hand corner next to the name of the strategy.

Sorry for the mishap. If I figure out what was going on I'll let you know.
