    Hello kumaresh11,

    Thank you for your post.

Commission values can be defined for each connectivity provider and/or broker, per instrument and per instrument type. Please make sure you have completed the steps accurately (see details below):

Commission values are used in the following order:
    1. From the instrument if a commission value has been defined else
    2. From the instrument type if a commission value has been defined else
    3. No value is used since none have been defined

Please follow the instructions below to define commission values per instrument type:
    1. From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
    2. Select the tab "Commission"

Please see this link for more information on the Commissions tab:

Please follow the instructions below to define commission values per instrument:
    1. From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
    2. Double click on the instrument you wish to add a commission value for
    3. Click on the "Misc" tab

You can add instrument level commission rates that override global commission settings. For example, you may set up a global commission rate for trading futures of $4.00 per side however you may have a reduced rate for trading the DOW Mini futures contract of $3.00 per side in which case you need to add this rate the DOW Mini contract in the Instrument Manager. Please see the Commission Tab section of the Options menu for more information on setting up commissions.

*Critical: Ensure that 'Apply commission to P&L calculations' is enabled under Tools > Options > General tab.

Please let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

      Hi Chip,
Just making a comment here. I searched and found your post on adding commissions on individual instruments because it does not appear in the help on the Commission Tab. There is instruction on Flat and Tiered commission rates, and a link labeled "instrument level commission rates", but the link just comes back around to the Commission Tab and doesn't actually link to the information you presented here on the Instrument Manager. If the information you presented here *is* in the help somewhere, perhaps someone can look into linking it correctly to the Commission Tab.
      Best,
      K

        Hello klopfgeist

The following link regarding Editing Instruments includes a section called “Understanding the Misc tab”. Here you will find information on setting instrument level commission rates:
