    Lou,

There is no more testing you need to do on your end at this point in time. Unfortunately there is no additional information or time estimate I can provide you at this point in time besides telling you that the area revolves around the timestamp of data and which file it actually lands in. We are seeing something where a data is ending up in a file with a timestamp that is outside the range of that file.

Okay. So, my understanding is that you were able to replicate the problem on your end. Is that correct?

        Lou,

It is a gray area and whether or not this is the cause of the issue, a separate issue, or a negligible observation is yet to be determined. We will come back when analysis is complete.

            bluelou,

Development had a request based on your post earlier that said you experienced this on several instruments and did not experience this on several others as well. Can you provide a list of the instruments which exhibited this behavior and a list of instruments which did not exhibit this behavior?

Or was your post about EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURJPY, and AUDUSD just the ones that you tried?

Development would also be curious for you to check some of the file sizes on your end. Can you please check your EURUSD tick size on 10/26 for the file 201010262200.Last.ntd. What is the exact size of that file as seen on your end? What about the "last modified" date and "file created" date for that file? Thanks.

              Josh,
The file size for 201010262200.Last.ntd is 6.77 KB.
              Created: Monday, January 03, 2011, 16:17:21
              Modified: Monday, January 03, 2011, 14:51:26
              Accessed: Monday, January 03, 2011, 16:17:21
(Seems unusual that the Modified stamp comes before the Created stamp)

I've only tried 5 pairs so far:
              Corrupted: EURUSD, GBPUSD
              Not corrupted: EURJPY, NZDUSD, AUDUSD.

I can try more pairs now if it will help. Let me know if you need anything else.

              Thx,
              Lou

BTW, January 3, 2011 was the date that I moved a backup copy of the database onto the current 'new' PC. However, the out-of-sequence tick time stamps are on both the 'new' and the 'original' PCs.

                  bluelou,

We have been running tests for quite some time now and have never been able to achieve data recorded in the fashion of recording seen in the files you sent us. Do you happen to have any PC clock syncing software installed on your machine? Or otherwise using any clock syncing software other than what Windows comes with?
