    Backtesting Using a Ram Disk?

Guys, has anyone attempted to use NT7 with a ram disk? Can anyone offer thoughts on the effect this would have on chart-load and chart-redraw times in NT7?

Basically, I need the ability to change a setting on an indicator, click Apply, and have the chart redraw as quickly as possible. In my case, this is an effective form of back-testing -- one I intend to use with charts containing at least a few thousand bars covering months at a time. I suspect that chart redraw times involve reading hard drive data, and consequently if NT data were on a ram disk, redraw times would be reduced -- but by how much, I don't know. Has anyone tried this? It would require moving NT, or at least NT data files (and thus perhaps My Documents), on to the ram disk.

Any insight much appreciated. Thanks for your help...
