    Replay issue on midnight

Folks ... having an issue with using replay futures data downloaded from your site.

ES seems ok but both CL and GC are having an issue on the midnight flip-over as soon as replay is started; but it only occurs on the first day; once the data becomes the second day its ok per the following screen shots.

First screen shot starts Nov 9; see how CL and GC jump up at midnight. Start the replay on Nov10 and Nov 9 data does not show a jump at midnight.

This was happening on the charts and workspace I setup; used many time frames; so I went back to basics and shut down NT with no charts open, restarted windows and NT, started Replay, new charts. Same result. Whats up?

    Hello ojokbusbefs

    Thank you for your note.

What session template are you applying in these examples?

Thanks for replying on the weekend.

I had been using my own session template aligned to the futures market hours, but when I rebooted and went back to basics I selected the Default 24/7 standard template; and using EST. Same problem.

        Hello

Please clarify the time of the first data point being plot to the CL & GC chart in these market replay examples.

        Thank you,

Hi ... its midnight because thats when replay always begins.

Let me describe it again as I'm not sure the point is coming across.

On the first screen shot I started replay on Nov 9; see the gap up on both CL and GC?

Now look at the second screen shot that I started replay on Nov 10. Look at midnight Nov 9 on CL and GC, no gap up! ES for some reason appears ok.

Somethings clearly not right in replay.

Since this problem doesn't appear obvious to you and does not have an obvious solution, then I'm going to just re-install and see what happens.

          Very, very frustrating folks!!

            What I found in re-installing NT7 ...

I uninstalled NT7 and renamed the NT7 directory in my documents so I had a clean install of NT7.

Re-installed NT7, downloaded a weeks worth of replay data, and did not connect to a data feed so no historical data, only replay data.

Started up replay on ES 3-11. First thing I noticed is no bars are displayed until I start replay; tried starting on several "from" dates, same thing, no bars until I press play. So it appears only historical data is displayed on a chart prior to hitting the play button (assuming you have some); and only replay data is displayed after hitting the play button (midnight); since I have no historical data yet, then no bars are displayed until I press play.

So, here is what I think the problem is as I had previously described. The replay data and my data feed data are in sync on ES (which was ok) and not in sync on CL and GC (which gapped up as soon as I pressed play).

Assuming what I described to be the case, one of the data sources is incorrect.

Thoughts on resolving this? (my data feed is IQFeed)

              • Close NinjaTrader
