    Two connections, instrument only available in secondary feed

    My first data feed provider ist IQFeed, my second is Interactive Brokers (IB).
    How can I get a chart of a symbol that only IB is offering?

    While connecting IB as one and only feed, it works fine.

    How can I solve the problem, when IQFeed is first? I tried IB as backup data feed in IQFeed profile, that didn't help.

    In the Instrument manager I left the symbol field blank for IQFeed, as IQFeed does not provide data for the instrument.

    Any solution or workaround available?

        Unfortunately since IQFeed offers data for the instrument TRIN when connected to IQFeed first NinjaTrader will attempt to receive data from the first connection prior to looking at the second connection even though IB uses a different Exchange.

        In order to receive the data from IB you would be required to connect to IB first.

          Thanks for clarification - it makes me sure that I would not have to search any further.

          Probably this could be a very reasonable feature enhancement. Either always show the secondary feed when symbol is not specified (i.e. empty) for the primary feed in the instrument list OR (even better) let the user choose the connection for the chosen chart.
