    NT7 Doesn't Launch Anymore

    I've been using (learning) NT7 (64) for a week or more now on a Win 7 machine. I closed NT today. When I launched it again, the initial splash screen cycles then nothing. The application never comes up. In task manager it shows that it is running.

    I have rebooted. I force killed it from task manager and tried again. Nothing.

    Hi,

    Can you send a note to support at ninjatrader and refer to this post. Then include your trace file which you can find under the windows start menu--> (My) Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20110128. This is a .txt file. Attach it to the email if it's under 4 MB and send it over.

    If it's larger than 4 MB, send a note as well and refer to this post as well, however include that you couldn't send the license because of the size. I will send different instructions then.

      Vincent, I am facing the same problem. I have a lifetime license of Ninja. Till 28th Ninja was working fine. On 29th I tried to launch it but couldnt. I have sent you the trace files. Please solve the issue.

      I have configured Zenfire to connect on startup. Could that be a reason for the issue ?

        I'm having the same issue too...Just walk away from the computer. It will eventually start. Took about 15 mins for me. Seems to be a timed loop trying to connect to Zen-Fire.

          Un$ane, I tried it and yes, Ninja started after 15/20 minutes. But some solution needs to be there for this issue. Its not practical to wait for so long for an application to start..

            same here with zenfire 32 bit.
            Takes too much to start and cant connect

                Ditto. Saturday morning was the first time it has happened. Last week was no issue.
                O/S: Windows XP
                Data: Zenfire
                Accnt: Amp Live
                NT V: NT 7.? ( Can not get it to load so don't know the release)

                NT does NOT show up in Task Manager yet when I click to start NT again I get the error msg saying "There can be only one instance of Ninja running......"

                Suggestions?

                  This is definitely some Zen-Fire issue I feel. When Ninja 7 started after say 20 minutes, i disabled Zenfire to connect on startup. Closed down Ninja and re-started without any problems.

                  TajTrades, under task manager, go to processes and delete file named something like ninjatrader.exe. After that u wont get the error message.

                    I was having same problem - looks related to Zenfire connection as others noted.

                    When I disabled "Connection on Startup" to ZF, NT now starts properly. Perhaps ZF is working on their servers this weekend...

                      I started to have SAME issue today

                      I thought it was my computer. I tried reinstalling TWICE and same happens.

                      I will try to disable starting Zenfire when NT starts to see what happens.

                              Hi,

                              I just received an update from Zen-Fire.

                              There is maintenance going on their servers which will give intermittent connectivity until later tonight.
