    ES correct session

    Hi All
    I only trade ES contract
I want to be able to trade ES contract using Ninjatrader 7
    ES session is as follows:
    MON-THURS: 5:00 p.m.-3:15 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
    (Daily maintenance shutdown 4:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.)
    SUN: 5:00 p.m.-3:15 p.m.

For this exact session I chose "CME US Index Future ETH" template.

However, sometimes I do get some distortions (gaps or bars just slide on each other) due to Martin Luther King's Day or simply I don't know why else. Like once or twice every week there's some bar colliding another.

Would you please explain to me how to avoid any of these problems? I had been using Ninjatrader 6.5 previously and never had any problems of such kind.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hello eddieban,

    Thank you for your post.

In order to apply these specific times within your chart you will be required to create a custom Session Template within the Session Manager.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over the Session Manager and how to create custom Session Templates.
    .

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

I know how to edit a template or even to create one myself,
unfortunately you don't seem to understand the essence of my issue.

As I mentioned before, I am asking if I can deal with holidays which are always specific to each one of them. Also, there some random collisions of bars.
If you simply give me another generic reply then you might as well answer to someone else as this treatment I find insulting to my intellect.

Also, I would like to know if there's any problem at the moment with your historical servers.
I am using zen-fire for realtime, ninja is usually OK with the historical feed, yet all day today I cannot load any historical data from ninjatrader's servers, once I rightclick any chart (ES chart, I am with AMP, on zen-fire) Reload Historical Data is GREYED OUT.

I have to use a historical feed from IQfeed because of this issue.
This problem shows on 3 different computers I have, on 6.5 versions as well as 7
Can this be fixed at all?

i got an update on the ninjatrader's complementary historical datafeed
it seems to be working right now, back to the normal

i need to know - was it a problem on your end?
i do understand that it's free and you never like promised anything, but i really need to know this as if this was a problem on my end, then i have to dig into it and find out what had caused it.

          appreciate your answer

Please attach a screen shot of your chart to help clarify the bars overlapping or collision of bars. This may be due to equidistant bar spacing.

I have tested Zen-Fire on my end and receive historical data successfully. Confirm you have historical data enabled with the steps I have provided below.
            • Disconnect
            • Tools
            • Account Connections
            • Select your connection
            • Change
            • Next
            • Historical Data-->Enabled
            • Next
            • Next
            • Finish
            • Reconnect

If the issue persists the most common reason is that a firewall, antivirus or other protection software on your PC or on the network your computer is on is preventing NinjaTrader from accessing our license servers.

Please disable any firewalls, also anti-virus or other protection software you may have running and close all other applications you may have running on your PC at this time.

all three computers are able to load a historical data using ninjatrader's servers,
2 of them don't have any antivirus software at all, nothing but windows 7 and ninjatrader on them

i reckon that your servers just failed because of this plunge that we had in a market today
people got nervous and overloaded your bandwidth or something

you were right, due to equidistant bar spacing.

i guess this thread is finito for now

                thanks
