NT 7 wont complete starting

    NT 7 wont complete starting

    NT splash screen comes on looks normal,, splash screen goes away,,, then nothing after that,, let it sit there 20 mins....No indication the NT is running other then the process running.
    It is set to autoconnect to dorman...

    same here...got no answer why...


    charts freeze all the time...NT7 has some issues...just test driving right now. Reminds me of all the bugs in the lastest TS builds and all the headaches who jumped on to it.

      Mine came back and connects up ok now .. Seems like these vendors think its ok to take down part of the system that could hose u up and cause u all kinds of problems A N D N O T TELL YOU hoping no will notice.. I'd stone that guy who makes that decision!!!!!!! Zenfire has done this to me before and is probably the culprit but NT doesn't much care that there main vendor of data does this to their customers..
      Till u walk away nothing changes.....With just a little effort NT could become world class... Thats why its still month to month for me with NT and don't want to marry them with a lifetime license!!!

        neilzep, the issue you described does not sound like the same item gg80108 is experiencing. If your issue persists, it would be best to send us an email and include your Log & Trace files so we can determine what the specific source of the issue is. You can do this by going to Help > Mail to Support…

        gg80108, auto-connect might not be the best option if your data provider/connection performs their maintenance at times when you are accessing the platform. It has also been suggested that an alert mechanism be implemented that would notify users when maintenance has been scheduled.

        Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if we can assist with anything else.

          SAME deal this morning just hangs, thanks for the consideration..... Is the monthly fee less if I can't use it on the weekends? Is there a switch I can add to the exe to bring up NT to ignore the autoconnect.. Right now I'm sol.....

            Hello

            You could temporarily move the config.xml file out of the NinjaTrader folder. This would allow you to circumvent the auto-connect & load the platform .

            You can locate this file at the path: (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > config.xml

            Please let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

              OK,, how does NT7 react if I get the software up with no autoconnect then I try to connect to Zen when its down,, does it still just hang? Really I would not try to connect up to zen if there was a reliable way to tell its status.....

                If Zen-Fire is down or there is a connectivity issue when you manually connect, you will receive an error message instead of the software ‘hanging’.

                  NT starting on third time

                  Hi
                  could you please check enclosed log and tell me what to do...everytime, when I try to run
                  NT, it freezes and nothing is being shown, only in task manager is ninja visible.
                  So I terminate the process and do this again till succesfull startup of NT

                    I see some issues having to do with connection errors. Do you currently have your data provider or broker configured to ‘Connect of Startup’?
