    Stop and target submission

Could you explain the selections for the "Stop And Target Submission" field in the New Strategy window?

if you set a stop loss in your strategy to $100, does "per entry execution" exit the position at $-100 for each *individual* order? Meaning that a five-lot position can result in a total loss of $500?

    thanks much -

that link does not seem to work anymore.

If I have 2 positions on in 1 strategy and the net position is positive and then an additional order is added but the market moves against the added position such that my net position is still positive but the added position will reach its stop - is that what this meant to assist with - choosing to take a stop on position level versus the strategy level

          Hifreq,

This link is outdated from NinjaTrader 6.

However, you would want to take a look at the reference sample below on scaling out of a position with an automated strategy -

Thanks but - my question was slightly different. I only want a stoploss to be attached to a position if the strategy itself is in a net losing position. If I have 2 entries that go long at 10 and I add one more long at 20 I am essentially up 20 ticks (2x10). If my stoploss is 8ticks and the market price drops down to 15 my strategy is still up net 5 ticks[(2x5)-5]. so i still dont want to be stopped out of my position i entered at 20 until the price moves down to 10 [really 10.5] - that make sense?

              HiFreq,

You can check for the position avg price to determine if you want to submit a stop loss or exit order for one contract. Avg price will be all the positions price and then averages them.
